Sustainable & Clean Energy from Waste




Producing energy from waste is one of the effective solutions to reduce environmental pollution, greenhouse gas emissions, and produce energy locally, as it is a proven technology with measurable results.


Waste-to-energy (WtE) is the process of taking solid waste and turning it into energy.


Your liquid waste can be made into a solid through stabilization methods and then incinerated to produce electricity. Also, solid wastes that meet the criteria, can be incinerated for waste-to-energy as well.


The process of turning waste into energy works as follows: mostly organic waste consisting of paper products, plant matter and corn-based plastics is gathered at an industrial plant, where it is burned. The burning of the waste produces heat which–because the burning process is done in a boiler–turns water into steam. The steam then is used to power turbines, which in turn generates electricity.


The electricity that is produced as a result is then transferred to power plants and then distributed across the power grid. Essentially, the process of turning waste into energy is as simple as that.


Waste-to-energy (WtE) technology has many environmental and economic benefits:


We'll start off with the environmental sector: This technology uses a local and abundant renewable fuel source, conserves natural resources, and reduces the need for new landfill space and emissions.


We'll continue on with the economic sector: This technology generates revenue from metals recovery, creates local job opportunities, helps to earn subsidies or avoid fines by meeting regulatory compliance targets and reduces cost to landfill refuse.


Finally, the energy sector: The (WtE) technology generates electricity and heat for use in local community, provides a viable and effective alternative to fossil fuel, produces heat for district heating, supplies steam to chillers for air conditioning, produces energy for desalination of seawater, reduces transportation energy by treating waste locally rather than shipping to distant landfills.
